Artist Call Out – Change

Artist Call Out: Change art exhibition

Bearded Dragon Gallery is excited to announce our first exhibition and artist call out for 2024, for an exhibition titled “Change”.

What does change look like for you? Change, as a powerful force within our lives, can catalyse movement or stagnation, enrich us with energy or take our last breath. Change is the law of life we all must abide to. For people living with a disability, change can be more impactful than many think. More than an everyday inconvenience, it can drastically transform our way of living and experiencing the world around us.

So we ask you, what does change mean to you?

Is it scary? Is it exciting? Or are you “turning a new leaf”? Should we embrace change, fall, and let it catch us, or do we fly on the winds of change as it carries us to where we must go?

President John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) once said “Change is the law of life and those that look to the past or the present are certain to miss the future”.

A witch once said, “Many fear change and will fight it with every fibre of their being, but sometimes change is what they need most, sometimes change is what sets them free”.

But that is what Presidents and witches think, we want to know what artists think we want to know what YOU think.

What is change? Show us!

We accept any medium including paintings, drawings, sculptures, textiles, ceramics, prints and digital art.

Submissions open now cut off is the 8th March, after that we can take no more. The exhibition will run from Mid-April.
